There are no wrong decisions.  There are only choices made in a single, unique moment of time. There will never be another moment like the one you’re in when you make that decision. So, you make it based on how you are feeling at that exact moment in time, what happened that day, your past experiences, a fight with your spouse, and so on and so on.

A decision/choice is a very powerful event. It can change lives in an instant, start a war, sentence someone to life in prison, help an old lady across the street, bring home a lost puppy, volunteer at a shelter, etc.  A decision has an impact far reaching our own realm of understanding.

However, who’s to say a choice is a good one  or bad one? I believe its neither. A choice is a choice and that’s it. You pick to go left or right and deal with the consequences as they occur. Period.  No drama about how you should have chosen a different path. Why? Because no one knows what would have or could have happened had you gone down the other path. Trust me, you made the choice you made just the way you were supposed to.

If you call a choice a “bad” choice, that leaves room for regret and second guessing. Don’t do it! Accept your decision and move on. Life won’t stop either way. A choice is a decision made in a unique moment in time. Here one moment, gone in another.

However, if you decide that you would have done something differently, then choose to do that next time. Let your original decision stand tall in all its glory and move forward. There is no going back so why try.  Trust yourself and allow the chips to fall where they may.  If anything at all, think twice about the implications of what you’re about to decide and stop for a moment. Does it “feel” right? I didn’t say “is it” right.  Trust your instincts.  Oh, and for the love of everything, please don’t make a decision in the heat of heightened emotions!!!  You’re not thinking clearly.  Take a breath, step away from the situation (a whole day would be ideal) and then revisit with a clear mind.  You’ll be glad you did.

Speaking from experience, all my decisions have always turned out just fine. They may not have started that way, but always ended up just where they needed to be. Have faith in the universe and its ability to take care of you. I do.  Consider this another lesson in personal development on the journey of your life!

I would love to hear about any of your decisions that turned into amazing situations!
