Well, aren’t you? For someone else to tell you its ok for you to be you, right? For someone else to give you the thumbs up on a decision you made, right? For someone else to approve of your love life, right?
No? Then what are you waiting for? Too many of us leave it to outside influences to tell us how to be us. How to feel, learn, love, think, etc. Why is that? Do we think someone else knows us better than we know ourselves? Do we think someone else has lived our life that they know what our next step should be? Or maybe we’re just too scared to take responsibility for our own lives. Maybe we would rather place the blame on someone else so we don’t have to face the consequences of our own decisions.
Whatever the reason is for our lack of decision making or action taking, it boils down to us not wanting to take a risk. Period. We somehow think if we don’t risk anything, we won’t lose anything. WRONG! When we choose not to risk anything, we risk EVERYTHING! Taking a risk means you’re willing to do whatever it takes to live life fully or love completely. Taking a risk means you value your self worth enough to do what feels right to you and no one else. Taking a risk means that you want the best life has to offer and you’re not taking “no” for an answer. When you take a risk, you are trusting yourself to create a life you’ve always wanted. Granted, it may not always work out every time, but it will most of the time. Isn’t that worth it?
If you want FULL credit for your own life, you are going to have to step up and do whatever it takes to get it done. Don’t look around and ask for permission. Just do it!
If you want to love, love!
If you want to learn, go learn!
If you want to be creative, find your outlet!
And if you’re still looking for permission, then here it is. I hereby grant you permission to be the amazing person that you are and to go forth and create all the wonderful things in this world for yourself and others. There! Permission granted! Now, go to it! Be you! The world is waiting. 🙂

Hi there! Thanks so much for visiting my site! 🙂 So happy you found some value here!
Hi Dina,
Inspiring post! This is exactly the problem that stops many people from advancing and sure it pertains to risk to a large degree, but if we want to do something, we should take that 1st step or we will forever ask ourselves ‘What if?’!
Keep on ROCKING!
Theda
Theda,
Thank you so much for your continued support. And yes, if people would understand that they are in complete control over their destiny, we would have a lot more miracles! Here’s to everyone seeing the light at the end of their short tunnel. 🙂
Blessings,
Dina
Dina,
I have said it before, and I stand by it, your words inspire me, you seem to have a clarity of thought that I can not seem to find. I know you arrived at this place through life trials so I truly respect your work all the more. Thank you for giving my light in my darkness.
Nelly,
Thank you for your kind words! I am very honored to be an inspiration to you and you are correct, I was not always this way. The good news is that we will all learn to find our own true voice and purpose in this lifetime. Just make sure to listen to your heart and intuition. They will never lead you astray!
Blessings,
Dina
Dina,
Thank you for these very inspiring words. I have spent the last year trying to find meself I lost me a long time ago. I know that through the choices I have made that I have chosen the direction that my destiny is going. However because of life I do not feel that I have control of my destiny. You have encourage me to reevaluate why I don’t feel that I have total control of my destiny. There are so many things that have an effect on my choices but do i use them as excuses? Thank you.
Lory,
You’re very welcome! I am very proud of you for re-evaluating your thoughts and feelings. You’re headed in the right direction. And remember, there are no wrong choices in life, only choices made in a moment of time. (Feel free to read more about that in one of my other posts.)
Wishing you all the best!
Dina

Dina –
Excellent post and completely true! I believe that we all want the permission, go-ahead or approval from those who are around us, mother/father or husband/wife – I think it strays back from when we were children and had to ask if we could have something rather than just “taking it” as we do now as adults. Sometimes we forget how smart and powerful individuals we are without anyone else giving us that extra lift. Mistakes will be made along the way.
As you mentioned above, if you take the chance to love someone and it doesn’t work – you tried, learn and move forward. But you wouldn’t have known, like you said by “asking for permission”
There is a song, and I don’t know the title of it… but a few of the words go as such:
“..The world is mine, watch me take it..” I love this song, because truly anything in this world can be mine, if I push forward and not ask for permission and “take it”.
Such an inspiring post to start my day off with. A nice little reminder to self to be all that I want and know I can be.
April,
So glad you enjoyed the post! And you’re right. These are all learned behaviors. Now that we know that, we should take back our power and move forward with our own permission. 🙂
Take care,
Dina
I just want to tell you that I am just very new to blogs and seriously liked your web page. Most likely I’m going to bookmark your site . You certainly have awesome well written articles. Appreciate it for sharing with us your web site.
Evangeline,
Thank you so much for your support! That means the world to me! 🙂
Dina
i found this topic very interesting if you have more to teach us about this subject please post.
Thank you Daiane! Stay tuned for me! 🙂
I have always had a problem with decision making. It was much easier to let someone else decide and I just go along with it. You have helped me to understand that people will still like me if I make a “wrong” decision or one they don’t necessarily agree with. It’s OK…I need to express my opinion! That is only one way that I will become more confident in myself. Keep the words of encouragement and enlightenment coming!
Judy, thank you for those kind words. You’re going to do great. Never be afraid to be yourself. How else will people really get to know and like the real you? And I will never stop following my passion to help women with their confidence. It is my purpose in life! Stay tuned! 🙂
I love this blog layout ! How do you make it? It is rather cool.
Glad you like it! It’s the standard theme WordPress starts you with and I just selected a header from their selection and added an opt in form from Aweber that matched in color. That’s it! 🙂 Good Luck! 🙂
