A friend of mine asked me a very interesting and powerful question the other day and I wanted to share my answer for her with you.

My friend:

“How do you know you are going down the right path? You always seem so sure….and I doubt myself all the time….to the point that I won’t go down the path I am feeling drawn to go down….”

Dina:

After some thought, here is what I wrote back to her…

” I’m actually not sure at all sometimes that I’m going down the right path. I just take a chance that I might be and then go with it. The idea is to step forward in faith and take what comes.

To know if you’re going down the right path is subjective. It all depends on how the person sees the world. Do they know what they want out of life? Are they confident about what they want? Can they ask for what they want?

When you live your life, you have to live YOUR life. Too many people live their lives based on what other people “think” or what other people “expect” of them. I do neither because I value myself and how God created me. We were all born to do amazing things. We just have to believe that and then step into it.

My questions to you are…Why do you doubt your path? Who are you trying to please if not for yourself? Are you afraid of failing, finding nothing or being disappointed? Find out what your “doubt” is all about and you will find your answers.

I am confident because I “choose” to be. It doesn’t mean that I am. ” ~ Dina

So, what I am trying to say is basically that you won’t know unless you try…or until you take that first step…or until you decide that moving forward is more important that standing still. Confidence is built but “doing”. It may start as a thought in your mind but without action, nothing happen. Building confidence is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Step 1: Decide what you want to be better at

Step 2: Create a plan on how to accomplish it

Step 3: Put your plan into ACTION (this is the most important part)

After you’ve gotten some confidence, destiny takes note and starts to align itself with you.  Knowing that you can handle the amazing tasks ahead of you (good, bad or indifferent), it turns on the faucet and let’s your journey flow.

***Now my questions to the readers: Are you following the right path for you? Can you tell? Do you care to know? Are you having trouble knowing if you’re on the right path? Are you ready to be the person you are destined to be? If you’re not sure, then DECIDE~ your life awaits you!

Please share your thoughts in the comments section. I’d love to hear them!
