In order to go forward in life, we must know who we are, why we feel they way we do and why we do the things we do. I’ve listed some questions you may want to answer (for yourself) so you may find some insight into yourself. The only rule of this activity is that you are completely HONEST with yourself. Why? Because without honesty, you’ll only waste your time and fool yourself into thinking you’re actually “doing” something. Remember, these answers are for you alone so there is no one judging you but yourself. You don’t need to post them. However, if you feel like sharing your thoughts about this activity, I would love to hear them.
1) What are the strongest beliefs about yourself and the world right now?
2) What gifts do you have right now that you would like to make available to the world?
3) When in your life did you feel most creative?
4) When in your life were you most committed to something/someone?
5) What are the greatest accomplishments of your life?
6) About what have you take the strongest stand?
7) What is the most important lesson you have learned to date?
8) Where do you get your energy from?
9) What are the biggest personal or professional concerns you are facing right now?
10) Are you ready to take action to “change” your life for the better?
If you answered yes to question 10, that’s wonderful. If you answered maybe, that’s good. You’re almost there. If you answered no, don’t panic, it just means you need to work out some issues before taking action. If you would like some guidance or a partner to help you be accountable during your action taking process or need some help getting to “yes”, I would be more than willing to help. Just ask. 🙂
All the best,

Honesty is the only way we grow. I agree with you. If you’re not honest, you are totally wasting your time. We grow from the truth. How on earth can we grow from a lie, when there is no fact to base growth on? There are so many people who are hindering themselves by 1. not recognizing the truth 2. recognizing the truth and ignoring it or 3. both. It takes courage and strength to analyze yourself, take inventory of your actions and put a strategy together to make a significant change in your current way of life. We’ve all been guilty of ignoring our weaknesses. I have been as well. There are still some current weaknesses that I battle with daily; however, progress is being made. I am aware of the weaknesses, recognize I’m battling with them, and constructing a strategy to turn those weaknesses into strengths. You have to start somewhere or you’ll always be stagnant.
Ahh yes. Questions that dig deep into the psyche. For a non sharer/sharer how would they answer these questions. To the benefit that can & would help someone, or maybe just partial truths. Who really knows. Not even me. My truths are what I create. What suits me best, but is it real. Let’s see how I answer.
1) What are the strongest beliefs about yourself and the world right now?
The world is in trouble. People need to wake up and stop the nonsense. We have been made to fear almost every and anything. Keep fear in the people and they will believe almost anything. What a waste of life. As for my beliefs… I believe in the here and now. Why waste time in a future that is not guaranteed for me.
2) What gifts do you have right now that you would like to make available to the world?
If I can tell the world to not worry so much, things happen for a reason it is all about how you handle it. That would be a sufficient gift I could offer. Why fret over something you don’t have control over. Or do you?
3) When in your life did you feel most creative?
I’m an aquarious. I’m always creative. Every word that comes out of my mouth is creativity if it changes something.
4) When in your life were you most committed to something/someone?
1989-1991. That commitment is still there, but on a different level. That commitment was almost costly. Was it worth it. Yes! Would I do it all over again. Yes! Would I have changed anything about it. No. Things happen for a reason. It’s all about how you deal with. This was for all parties that were involved.
5) What are the greatest accomplishments of your life?
Keeping close with my family. Having respect for myself and my family. People have lost this quality. It’s all about bitchin and complaining about nothing. For no reason. I just don’t get it. I’m so glad I’m not like that.
6) About what have you take the strongest stand?
Your word defines who you are. Don’t ever compromise that. If people can’t trust you for what you say, then what do you have?
7) What is the most important lesson you have learned to date?
Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer.
8) Where do you get your energy from?
My mother
9) What are the biggest personal or professional concerns you are facing right now?
Personal – allowing people into my life. I will always keep up a wall.
Professional – keeping my mouth shut. If one thing I don’t like is someone telling me how to do my job when they don’t know how to do it themselves. How is that possible? And, how can I respect a person who doesn’t have respect for their staff. Staff is the driving force for a company, yet bosses can treat them like the dirt under their shoe. Not right. They really need to think about that. Treat your staff right and they will take care of you. I hope there are some business people reading this!!!
10) Are you ready to take action to “change” your life for the better? No. I am very happy with the way my life is. I have no regrets, and as I said, I live life one day at a time. Enjoying every minute of it. So there!
You know what, people try to say the way you grow up defines who you are or what you become, that can be true if you let it. If you want to change your life for the better because you had a bad childhood, you can. People can do whatever they want to and set out to do. The question is how much do you really want it? Ask yourself, “Do you want it?” You can grow from truth, you can grow from lies, you can grow from pain, and happiness. Every step a person takes in their life is a lesson and helps them grow to be a good person, bad, sad, happy, content, the list can go on. I say, why not enjoy and be true to self.
Oh and by the way. I’ve known who I was since I was a child. Ask my mother. She will tell you. Stubborn and always my own person. I am me!
